MTV sold its soul years ago, so this news just makes no sense. i agree, boycott.

So I can watch an entire season of someone who O.D. on drugs do Interventions, but I can’t watch the Queen of the Guidettes get dethroned?

Boo, MTV. Boo.

This is unacceptable. This aggression will not stand, man. That’s like the town hooker saying she doesn’t want her honor besmirched. Putting out is your job, MTV.

“After hearing from our viewers, further consulting with experts on the issue of violence, and seeing how the video footage has been taken out of context to not show the severity of this act or the resulting consequences, MTV has decided not to air Snooki being physically punched in next week’s episode.”

What? “In context”? I don’t need any fucking context. She got brutally assaulted. Period. Everything else is fluff. And fluff is the entire point of the show—hell, the network. Show the consequences. Does someone else have the editing bay?

“Snooki who up until that point, felt that she was somewhat of an outsider. Everyone rallies behind her and comes to her defense so it’s a pivotal point in the narrative arc of the show.”

A “pivotal point” that you’re not going to broadcast. Narrative FAIL. What’s next? Porn directors forsaking the money shot? Complaints that the footage is “taken out of context”?

I boycott. Jersey Shore had a shelf life of 6 minutes anyway.
